August 13, 2010 Obligatory Progress Update #3: Of Interviews and the Filipino Language
I have successfully emailed my requests to interviewees whom I won’t be able to meet in person and called the offices and homes of those I could. I’m still waiting for most of the replies of most of them but I’m having my first ever phone interview with a health center doctor later–I would’ve preferred visiting the community where she worked but her working hours conflict with my schedule. Wish me luck!

Also my thesis is going to be in Filipino, that’s right folks, I am shivering as I type. Not that I don’t want to but I find it exceeding difficult to write well in Filipino (I cringed after I reread the papers I wrote back in FIL11 and FIL12). Everything seems to end up barok.
